The 2018 Subaru Legacy is Loaded with Signature Features

Affordable; capable; practical; powerful; well-equipped; family-friendly. There are a lot of things that can describe the new 2018 Legacy--and all of them are true. This midsize sedan is one of the few non-luxury sedans that offers all-wheel drive as standard equipment, making it ideal for drivers who want the most capability out of their car. Trim levels for 2018 include the Legacy 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Sport, 2.5i Limited, and 3.6R Limited.

A Luxury-Leaning Interior

Subaru isn't really a luxury brand; it's known better for its rugged durability and standard capability. But that doesn't mean that its largest sedan option has to be bare-bones or minimalist. In fact, it's quite the opposite: the new 2018 Legacy comes equipped with a variety of signature Subaru features, in a comfortable and quiet cabin. The 2.5i Sport model offers stylish trim-specific interior options.

Bold, Superior Styling

The sleek and smooth new 2018 Legacy boasts refreshing new looks at the front and rear, with minor tweaks to the classic, trapezoidal grille and a tighter design at the rear. While the Legacy doesn't quite have the kind of ground clearance as some of its fellows, it still rides comfortably over less-than-ideal roads, and polishes the overall look of smoothness with stylish body-color rockers. The 2018 Legacy 2.5i Sport is the only model with noticeably different exterior styling.

Performance That's City-Ready, But Back-Road-Bred

The practical efficiency of the Subaru Legacy's standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine--good for 175 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque--makes it an ideal daily driver for commuters of all variety. Its capable AWD system also makes it an excellent option for those who live far off the main road, or who live in areas with uneven terrain. A more powerful 3.6-liter six-cylinder, good for 256 horsepower and 246 pound-feet of torque, is standard on Legacy 3.6R models. All 2018 Legacy sedans comes standard with Subaru's CVT and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.

More for Your Money

As one of the more affordable midsize sedans in its class, the 2018 Subaru Legacy is pleasantly well-equipped even at its base model: a 6.5-inch display with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, a rearview camera, and multimedia connectivity. Upgrade for a larger, 8.0-inch display screen, premium audio, and driver-seat memory settings. Available EyeSight offers features like blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and intervention, and front and rear collision warning with emergency automatic braking.
