2019 Subaru Crosstrek in Chapel Hill

Explore More Without Breaking the Bank In the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek

Following the lead of the compact Subaru Impreza, the Subaru Crosstrek adopted the brand's new Global Platform for 2018; the new platform made this Crosstrek a lighter, stronger, sturdier, and more comfortable option than its previous generation. The Subaru Crosstrek has one of the smallest number of model configurations in the entire lineup, but each one is packed with features. For 2019, trim levels for the Crosstrek include the 2.0i Base, 2.0i Premium, and 2.0i Limited.

The Well-Equipped Cabin Gives You a Lot

The cabin of the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek is well-designed and centered on driver comfort. Even small included features like auto up/down windows and a clean driver info display make a big difference, for a surprisingly premium feel in even the base model. Upgrade to the Premium or Limited model for options like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, genuine leather upholstery, an available power moonroof, premium audio, and automatic climate control.

A More Versatile Exterior

On top of the new platform, the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek recently outfitted itself in a new skin, with deeper character lines, a smoother roofline with raised roof rails standard, more aggressive wheel designs, and sleeker, sharper headlights. It's a look that's perfect for the 2019 model, and better represents just how sporty this crossover really is. One of the better exterior updates for the new Crosstrek generation was a widening of the rear hatch, to make loading gear into the 55.3 cubic-foot cargo bay even easier. The newer model lineup brings back the sporty, stylish Sunshine Orange exterior paint, and a stunning new special-edition Cool Gray Khaki. We hope to someday see a Sport trim for the Crosstrek, similar to that introduced to the Impreza line.

Subaru Capability and Efficient Performance

The 2019 Subaru Crosstrek comes standard with a 152-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, and this powerplant is the only one you'll find under the hood. We'd love to see the Subaru Crosstrek someday add a turbocharged engine--but we'll continue to cross our fingers. The Base and Premium trim do currently offer a sport manual transmission as standard equipment--some of the last holdouts in the world of stick-shifting--but Subaru's CVT, which comes standard on the Limited, is available on the first two trims. Like all Subaru SUVs, the new 2019 Crosstrek comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive on all Base, Premium, and Limited trims.

Technology and Safety in the New Crosstrek

This new small crossover is also smart as a whip--the new 2019 Crosstrek comes standard with a 6.5-inch touchscreen dashboard display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Subaru STARLINK infotainment, and a rearview camera. EyeSight is now available on even the base trim level, as well as both the Premium and Limited trims, and adds features like automatic front emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist. LED Steering Responsive Headlights, Blind-Spot Detection, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert can be found on the top-of-the-line Crosstrek Limited.
