Today is Tip Tuesday at Performance Subaru and we are teaching Subaru owners how to pair their Bluetooth device with their car. With in-dash computers becoming increasingly more complex, it’s nice to have some guidance when trying to figure out how to navigate these computers to find what someone may be looking for.

The first step is to make sure the Bluetooth is active on your Bluetooth device. Select “Settings” on your home screen, then select “Phone”. Once your Bluetooth device is active, you will see a menu on your vehicle dash screen that says “Add Device.” Select “Add Device” and you will see Subaru BT (Bluetooth) show up on your Bluetooth device’s menu. Select “Subaru BT” and then select “Pair.” Select “continue” on your vehicle screen and your device will be paired. By Bluetooth device, I mean anything with Bluetooth connectivity that will pair with your new Subaru like a cell phone, iPod, or tablet.

To set up Apple CarPlay in your new Subaru, simply plug in your iPhone to the USB port and the Apple CarPlay link will light up brighter. You will then be able to select that button on your vehicle screen and begin accessing Apple CarPlay features.

Check back with us next week as Performance Subaru shares another tip on Tip Tuesday.
