This week at Performance Subaru, we are taking a look at how to check your tire pressure in your new Subaru. We are showing the traditional route by monitoring the tire pressure manually, for those who may not know what to look for. We are joined by Carroll Clayton, a client advisor at Performance Subaru, to show what to look for when checking tire pressures.
The first step is to open the door to see what the manufacturers’ tire pressure recommendations are. You can find the sticker with these recommendations on the door sill that is attached to the frame, just under the door latch.
Next, unscrew the cap on the valve stem that sticks out from the tire. Place the tire pressure monitoring tool firmly against the bare opening and wait for the reading. Be careful to place the tire pressure monitor on straight or you could be letting air out of your tires.
Replace the valve stem cap, close your door, and you’re done! It’s really that simple.
Keep looking forward to Tip Tuesday in the future for more great tips on how to use or monitor your Subaru.
