Our Last Luncheon as Performance Subaru

Facilities Manager Chet Wetherington grilling in the snow

Wednesday was a fun yet bittersweet day at Performance Subaru because it was our last luncheon as Performance Subaru.  As you all know, we will be moving to Southpoint on April 3rd and changing our name to Hendrick Subaru Southpoint.  While this is very exciting, it is also bittersweet because these walls have been home to many of our team members for many years.

Our facilities team did not disappoint with the food as Facilities Manager Chet Wetherington, set up a tent outside with grills smoking as snow fell and the smell of burgers grilling filled the entire campus.  We also had LC cook barbeque which was out of this world!

We honored Technician Dennis Morrill for his 25 Years of Service where he received his beautiful Rolex given by the Hendrick Corporate Office in Charlotte.  This month we had 15 Promise Keepers, people who go above and beyond their job scope to help out our clients or their fellow team members.  Our Promise Keepers are the heart of what it is to be a part of a work family, and we are all family here. There was plenty of cash given out as tickets were pulled from the raffle bowl to give employees a turn to spin the wheel.  The luncheon ended with the grand prize going to Technician Michael Robinson.

Breaking bread, laughing, and sharing time together is a part of the Hendrick way and we will carry that tradition with us to our new home in Southpoint.
